Nothing Like a Little Motivation .......

My second grandchild, Adler Gray, is scheduled to be born on Janurary 15. One month from today. April and Zach are excited about having a little boy. They both love kids and have always played with other people's kids. Now they will have one of their own. It will be different because it is their own. You know the drill. Diapers, middle of the night feedings, worry just because you are a parent. But they will also get so much joy from this little boy. And of course, as Grammi, I can't wait to get my hands on the little darlin'. Sorry I don't have any pictures, but Thanksgiving was too busy to scan the 3D Ultrasound. I barely even got to look at it with all the meal preparation.

But I digress, April loves Pottery Barn. And her house looks like it was decorated from their catalog. But she is so good about finding things that "look like" and putting them together. So when it came time to decorate the nursery that's where we started. The PB catalog. She found
this set and this set. So having a mother in law how could make it happen, April figured out how to have the best of both sets for the nursery. We started a search for fabrics that would work, and I began creating the nursery set she imagined. Each quilt block and applique is stitched with love for my new little grandson. So after much stitching, the first pictures are ready to be shown.

So now back to the topic of my post....... Motivation. When you have something you REALLY want to accomplish, like having this nursery finished BEFORE Adler makes his appearance. You do what it takes to make it happen. Nothing like a little motivation to get things done. I didn't want to be distracted by Christmas preparations, so for the first time in my life..... It is December 15th and ALL my Christmas shopping is Done. No worrying about what to get for everyone. No more fighting the crowds at the mall. So this morning I had a "AHA moment". I may have started a new trend. I will have to find something to motivate me next year. Christmas is so much more enjoyable this way. I can focus on the REAL meaning of Christmas. The birth of my Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the Reason for the Season. Pin It

Hi, Karen! This is just BEAUTIFUL!! You are so talented. :) And I agree. I'm done shopping and it's so nice to have it finished and be able to enjoy the rest of the season. Things are calmer and more enjoyable. :)

Merry Christmas!
