Merry Christmas Y'all......

Last Thursday we had a wonderful Texana Designs Play Day at my house.  Lots of creativity going on.  Lots of Laughter.  Lots of time with wonderful Friends. And a working lunch with a scrumptious salad where we talked about the stamps we would feature for all of 2013.  Lots of neat samples with be coming your way.  Please follow Texana Designs Blog to see them all.

So now I will stop and apologize for the "lack" of good photos of the following cards.  I was having too much fun to go set up proper backdrop and lighting for these pictures so I just quickly snapped the following so I could send my samples home with our Wonderful CEO, JimmyeSue.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and it's time to start thinking about making some Christmas Cards.

The thing I love most about stamping is that you can take the same image and use different products/techniques and create totally different looks.
The common denominator in all these cards is the Texana Designs FR003—BW Snowflake Frame and heat embossing.  I just got out some different embossing powders and some VersaMark Ink and played with different effects.

For the First Card I used WHITE embossing powder on Black Paper for the Frame and RED embossing powder for the Sentiment.

Supplies used:
 FR003—BW Snowflake Frame
Card Stock
CuttleBug Snowflake Embossing Folder
CuttleBug Snowflake Die
VersaMark Ink
Rouge Embossing Powder by American Crafts

For this card I used black Cardstock and silver embossing powder for the frame and then cut it out.  I popped the frame and the little snow person off the card with my homemade pop dots.

Supplies used:
FR003—BW Snowflake Frame

 TX013 Merry Christmas Y’all
VersaFine Black Onyx Stamp Pad
Distress Markers by Ranger to color Snowman
Scraps of patterned paper and ribbon from my stash to create the background for this card.
Spellbinders Label Nestability to cut sentiment block

For the Third Card I heat embossed the Snowflake frame using PolySparkle Embossing Powder by Ranger on WHITE Card stock.  I then used my foam blending tool and Distress Ink in Barn Door to color over the stamped image.  The embossing powder resisted the Ink.  I then stamped the sentiment in Black in the center of the frame.  I added some Gold brads to the center of the snowflakes to give the frame some interest and matted it on black card stock.
