Today is Drake's 16 month birthday. Since he was born I have tried to get a series of photos every month. If we can, we do something special. Today Alder stayed at his future girlfriend, Audrey's house while mommy worked, so Drake and I took advantage of the beautiful weather. Since I only had one baby to take care of, it seemed like the perfect time to take Drake to the Park. We started out at Champion Park. There is a large covered sand box area complete with buckets and shovels, sand molds, and lots of trucks for the little ones to play with.
There are also concrete "dinosaur bones" that the kids can dig and uncover, but Drake had too much fun just filling his bucket.
After an hour or so we loaded back into the car and went about 1/2 mile down Brushy Creek Road to Brushy Creek Lake Park The Brushy Creek Lake Park was named "Best Place to Play in a Fountain" by the Austin Chronicle "Best of Austin '07". So Drake helped put on his sun screen and got ready to play in the water.
We had a wonderful time as you can tell by the following picture.
And when we were done.......NAP TIME!!!!!!!!

we've already laid claim to audrey! i'm kidding. but not really. we figured since we have a boy and a girl, adler can marry molly and colby can marry audrey. we all know of course that "betrothals" dont always work out, but they could at least all be best friends!! ;-)
