Organizing and another Layout

I love acrylic stamps. I had several friends who were stampers and they tried for years to make me a stamper too. I collected a nice little collection of rubber stamps, but quickly got frustrated with them because I couldn't see where I was stamping and if it turned out badly, I would just trash it and draw it myself. It was just easier and less frustrating. The rubber stamps ended up sitting in drawers. (They are still there, but I do let the grandboys play with them from time to time.)
When I started to work at my local LSS a couple of years ago, I was introduced to clear stamps. Oh My Goodness. They were so easy to use because I could see exactly where I was placing them. I was hooked. And I began collecting them.
I loved that I could store them in a binder and they didn't take up much room. One binder soon became two and then three. Soon my collection was growing out of the third binder. I was keeping all my sets together as they were purchased. But I was never sure which binder to look in when I was working on a project. I might want a butterfly, but which one? Or a heart, but which one? So many of the sets had a variety of items in them and I was never quite sure which binder to store them in. I had a binder for cardmaking stamps. There was one with flourishes and other decorative sets, and a binder for fun sets that I might use in the grandboys scrapbooks or for holiday pages.
So I took the lead from my friend Megan and broke up all my sets. Click on her name and it will take you to her tutorial on how she organized her stamps. I followed her lead. Below are just a few pictures of my newly organized system.
This is a picture of all my border stamps.

This is my page of Fall and Halloween Stamps

This is one of the pages of Butterflies. YES I love butterflies!!!

This are some of my word/sentiment stamps.

And this is how I store them all. They are in 8 1/2 by 11 page protectors. The pages are arranged alphabetically by catagory. It is so much easier to find the perfect stamp now.
And you will notice, I have room for more stamps. Not that I need them, but you never know when a new perfect set will come out.

I finished another scrapbook page for Adler's book. I have just a few to go and then I will be caught up and will be ready to fill in Drake's book the same way.

These are my favorite pictures of Adler at 4 months old.
  • Background paper is from an old ProvoCraft Slab
  • Patterned Papers by DCWV Fun in the Sun Slab
  • Bird Embellies are Inkadinkadoo Stamps
  • Branch Embellies are stamped with Hero Arts Stamp
  • All Embellies heat embossed using American Crafts Zing and Decorated with Diamond Stickles
  • Ribbon and DMC Floss for stitching
  • Title is diecut with Hippie Chick Cuttlebug Alphbet. Cut twice and layed off center to create shadow effect.
Have a great week~~~ I hope to be back soon with more pages.

What an adorable layout! I love how you have right bottom photo popping out like that. The mix of the bird stamps, stitching, & pleating looks fabulous! Thanks for visiting my blog and for playing along for a RAK!

Have a good day!
