My First Cuttlebug Embossed Card.

Yesterday was my brother's birthday and we had his party this evening. I made his birthday card, as I usually do for special occasions. But this one was special. For my birthday I got a Cuttlebug and embossing folders. Several of my friends have them and when I saw what they could do, I had to have them. I love tools. I collect tools. And I try to use them once in awhile, so I can justify getting more when a new one comes out. Sooooooo......I used my Cuttlebug to make my brother's birthday card.

I used the Argyle Embossing folder to emboss the background and the Houndstooth embossing folder to emboss the scalloped circle. The Scalloped Circle and the plain circle were cut with my Klick N Kut Element Electronic Die cutter. The Owl and sentiment was stamped using Inkadinkado Bird Assortment set and Brown Archival Ink. The owl was colored with PrismaColor Pencils and blended with Gamsol. Googly eyes were added to the owl to give it some character. The patterned paper is by My Minds Eye. The card was distressed with Ranger Distress Ink.
